Gold Filled
Gold Filled is a type of jewelry that contains 5% of solid gold and is created by a process of heat and pressure bonding. In this process, a layer of solid gold is bonded onto a base layer of brass to create a thick and durable layer of solid gold. Our Mala Beads feature gold-filled 2.5-3mm spacer beads.
CARE
▪︎ Gently clean your gold filled beads with a polishing cloth to remove dirt, grease, or chemicals and maintain their shine.
▪︎ Avoid exposing your gold filled jewelry to water, perfume, lotions, soaps, or other harsh ingredients that can damage the jewelry.

Gold Vermeil
Gold vermeil (pronounced ver-mey) is a type of jewelry made with a Sterling Silver base layer and a solid gold layer that is electroplated on top. Our pendants and Guru beads are made with gold vermeil, featuring a heavy 2 micron layer of real 24k gold over high quality sterling silver. We take pride in sourcing and producing all our gold vermeil pieces in Portugal to ensure the highest quality standards.

Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a popular alloy of silver that contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. Pure silver is soft and malleable, and adding other metals to it increases its hardness and durability. At My Little Mantra, we take pride in producing all of our sterling silver pieces in Portugal, ensuring high quality standards and expert craftsmanship.

▪︎ Sterling silver is prone to tarnish and dull over time so it is important to use a silver polish cloth to wipe and clean your jewelry regularly.

Brass
We're big fans of working with brass and here's why:
1. Sustainability - Brass is one of the most recycled metals in the world and can be upcycled over and over again without diminishing its composition. Recycling brass is less energy-intensive than producing it from scratch, making it an environmentally friendly choice.
2. Affordability - Brass has the look of 14k gold but at a much lower cost, making it an accessible choice for those looking for a similar aesthetic on a budget.
3. Durability- With copper as its base constituent, brass is among the most durable metals around. Properly stored and maintained, brass jewelry can last for thousands of years.
CARE
▪︎ Wear your brass jewelry frequently. The natural oils from your skin can help prevent tarnishing.
▪︎ When not wearing your brass jewelry, store it sealed in a plastic bag with the anti-tarnishing strip we provide to help prevent tarnishing.
▪︎ Gently polish your brass jewelry often with the polishing cloth we provide.
▪︎ For a deeper clean, use an old toothbrush and toothpaste. The grittiness of the toothpaste can help polish the brass jewelry without scratching the metal. Remember to dry the jewelry thoroughly afterward.
Tassels
At My Little Mantra, we take sustainability seriously, which is why all our tassels are made with 100% premium recycled polyester thread sourced from post-consumer PET bottles. Our threads are manufactured in Germany using transparent bottles made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which are recycled to create a brilliant, shiny range of colors. By using recycled materials, we prevent waste from ending up in landfills and conserve non-renewable resources.

▪︎ Keep your tassel wrapped in its original linen fabric when not in use to prevent it from collecting dust or becoming tangled.
▪︎ If your tassel needs a little love, wet your fingers and smooth out the threads with your fingertips.
▪︎ If the ends of your tassel become frayed, carefully trim them with sharp scissors or shears, flattening the tassel between your index and middle fingers to ensure an even cut.
